Parents are an integral part of our preschool program. Only by working in close partnership can we provide the most appropriate educational experience for your child. We are dedicated to building a positive relationship with families from our first contact. We ask you to share with us as much information about your family and child as you feel comfortable sharing.
The teachers, director and administrative assistant are always open to hearing from you—your concerns, suggestions and your ideas on how to make our program better.
Parents are always welcome in the preschool classroom. Their support by volunteering to do special projects, give presentations, help with various activities and support our program whenever possible makes our preschool the quality program we all enjoy.

NAEYC, National Association for the Education of Young Children, started its program accreditation system in the early 1980’s to help families find the best care for their young children and to provide the early childhood education field with a credible means by which to identify and meet standards of excellence.
UCUC Preschool first attained accreditation in 1996. The preschool has maintained continuous accreditation since 1996.
In the mid 2000’s, accreditation standards were updated to enhance the quality of the education and well-being of children. NAEYC developed 10 standards that are required for accreditation. These standards are: relationships, curriculum, teaching (relating to instructional approach), families, community relationships, physical environment and leader- ship and management.
